How to re-purpose an old pillowcase! Plus a GIVEAWAY!

Sure, there are MANY things you can make from an old pillowcase but today we will be making.......a garment bag! SO cute and SO easy!!

You will need one pillowcase, scissors, needle and thread. You can also use some ribbon to accent once finished but that is optional.

Let's get started! This first step is VERY important! First, turn your pillowcase inside out. Then, simply fold your pillowcase in half width-wise

You are now going to cut a small slit just below the stitching. 1/2 - 1 inch will be perfect.

Unfold your pillowcase, it should look something like above.

Next you are going to thread your needle and stitch around the opening to make sure the fabric will not fray. Once finished turn your new garment bag right side out and there you have it! How easy was that?!? You may add ribbon for an extra touch if you would like.

I love going to places like goodwill, or my local antique stores, to find really cute old pillowcases. These garment bags are perfect to place over winder coats for storing, dance costumes, cheer uniforms, your children's special clothes and so much more!

I don't know about you but, we go through oatmeal like that is the only thing to eat on this planet! Seriously a TON! My youngest would eat it for every meal and snack....every day....if I let her. Yes, the little packs can be cheap (if you can find a coupon and get them on sale) but it still adds up. I used things I already had on hand so there was no extra cost to make this. FREE is ALWAYS good! I tried before to make little packets to keep on hand but that was a complete fail. I have since reworked the recipe and am happy with the results. I decided to just keep the oatmeal in a glass container this time and scoop out what we need, when we need it. Hey guys! I have some EXCITING news! Today I am posting over at Mom It Forward ! I have shared my Fiesta Chicken Tacos recipe, it is SO good! Go check it out!
