Do your kids LOVE chicken nuggets? I have one girl that loves them and one that will not touch them with a ten foot pole! My non nugget lover LOVES fries though and would eat her weight in French Fries and Ketchup every day if allowed. It is sometimes hard to get protein in her.
A few days ago we headed to Sam's Club to pick up some Tyson Chicken Fries to see if my youngest would eat them. I love that I can use them as either a quick chicken snack or a quick chicken dinner. Since I don't really like eating ketchup with chicken, I wanted to make a yummy dipping sauce.
I wanted a sweet sauce, but not overly sweet. I knew I did not want to do a honey mustard so I decided on a Sweet Cranberry Sauce. It is a GREAT sauce/dip and works well with not only chicken, but meatballs as well.
Ingredients
1/2 Cup Orange Juice
1 Can Jellied Cranberry Sauce
1 1/2 tsp Course Ground Mustard
1/4 Cup Sugar
In a saucepan combine OJ, Cranberry and Sugar.
Bring mixture to boil then reduce heat and let simmer until mixture reduces by half (this could take up to 10 minutes). Stir occasionally.
Allow to cool just a bit. Serve warm or cold.
